Integrated Security Solutions for Business in South Africa
Integrated security solutions connect CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, alarms and offsite monitoring so they share events and video on one platform, run by one accountable provider. CCTV Security Surveillance designs, installs, monitors and maintains integrated security systems for commercial and industrial sites across South Africa, from a single building to a national portfolio.
We have been in electronic security since 1967: 7,000+ clients, 50,000+ cameras deployed, an in-house 24/7 control room and four branches in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape and Eastern Cape. If you are responsible for security across several sites, the quickest way to start is to book a security risk assessment.

The Risk of Separate Security Systems
- !Cameras from one installer, access control from another and the fence from a third: each part may work, but nobody owns the whole
- !An alarm at a gate, door or fence arrives without video, so the control room has to guess what triggered it
- !Access logs and CCTV footage sit on different systems, so an investigation means matching timestamps by hand
- !Every site in a portfolio ends up with different equipment, different contracts and a different number to call when something fails
- !When a system goes offline, suppliers point at each other and the gap stays open
What an Integrated Security System Delivers
- ✓Every door, gate and fence alarm linked to live video, so operators can verify an event and act on it
- ✓Access events and CCTV footage on one timeline for faster, evidence-ready investigations
- ✓One design standard and approved equipment list across every site in your portfolio
- ✓One provider, one service agreement and one point of contact for design, installation, monitoring and maintenance
- ✓Designed, installed and maintained by a PSIRA-registered (No. 4412150), SAIDSA Grade A (ASP-1571) installer
What Is an Integrated Security System?
An integrated security system is a set of electronic security systems that work as one: CCTV records and analyses video, access control decides who gets through each door and gate, electric fencing and perimeter detection guard the boundary, and 24/7 offsite monitoring watches it all and responds. Integration means an event in one system triggers the others: a forced door or a fence alarm brings up the nearest camera in the control room, and every access event can be checked against footage.
The value is not more equipment. It is fewer blind spots between systems and one owner for the result. Research supports this approach: a 40-year systematic review found that CCTV combined with other measures, such as access control, lighting or guarding, produced larger effects than cameras alone, and that actively monitored systems outperformed systems that only record (Piza et al., 2019).
What Our Integrated Security Solutions Connect
We design each system around your site's risks and specify only what it needs. These are the parts we supply, install and connect:
CCTV and video analytics
IP, HD and thermal cameras with AI video analytics such as intrusion detection, licence plate recognition and PPE detection, recorded on NVRs and video management software.
Access control
Biometric, card, mobile and vehicle access at doors, turnstiles and gates, linked to CCTV so every entry can be verified on video.
Perimeter protection
Electric fencing, thermal cameras and perimeter AI that raise an alarm at the boundary, before an intruder reaches a building.
24/7 offsite monitoring
Our in-house control room receives alarms with live video, verifies them and coordinates the response.
Intercoms, PA and fire detection
Intercoms for visitor verification, PA systems for announcements and evacuation, and fire detection on the same site plan.
Business systems and backup power
POS, scale and weighbridge data overlaid on video, and inverters and solar to keep security running through load-shedding.
One Accountable Provider Across Every Site
For operations, risk and facilities heads, the main gain from integration is accountability. Our four branches work to one set of operating standards: the same site survey process, design and installation standards, commissioning checks, handover documentation and after-sales procedures. National, multi-site rollouts are led by our Managing Director, coordinating teams from different branches so a client with properties around the country is delivered on one programme with one point of contact.
Procurement is central, so a client with sites in several provinces gets the same approved, compatible equipment everywhere. We buy only through manufacturers and their authorised local distributors, so every product carries a valid local warranty and firmware support. Systems are available on purchase, rental and SLA options, with ongoing maintenance and rental agreements.
How We Deliver an Integrated Security Project
Every integrated security project follows the same structured process, whatever its size:
1. Security risk assessment
A qualified technician walks each site to map entry and exit points, the perimeter, lighting, existing equipment and the risks you need covered.
2. System design
Cameras, access points, perimeter detection, recording and monitoring are specified as one system, with the integrations between them, never as a generic package.
3. Installation and integration
PSIRA-registered, SAIDSA-accredited technicians install and connect every part to manufacturer and industry standard.
4. Commissioning and handover
Every camera, door, alarm and integration is tested on site before handover, with documentation and training for your team.
5. Monitoring and maintenance
Optional 24/7 offsite monitoring from our control room, plus service, rental and SLA options that keep the whole system running.

Integrated security solutions connect CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, alarms and monitoring so they share events and video on one platform. Instead of separate systems that each record part of an incident, an integrated system links a door, gate or fence alarm to live video and a control room that acts on it.
Electronic security covers the individual systems: CCTV, access control, alarms, electric fencing, intercoms and fire detection. Integrated security is how those systems are designed, connected and managed together, so an event in one triggers the others and one provider is accountable for the whole.
Often, yes. During the security risk assessment we check what is already installed and whether it can be connected to a shared platform. Some equipment can be kept and integrated, and some may need upgrading; the assessment tells you which before anything is quoted.
Yes. Our four branches in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape and Eastern Cape work to one set of operating standards and service businesses across all nine provinces. Multi-site rollouts are coordinated on one programme with one point of contact, with the same approved equipment at every site.
No. A single site with a few cameras, an access-controlled door and a fence alarm benefits from the same principle: every alarm comes with video, and someone acts on it. The system is sized to the site's risks, and can grow as you add sites.
Start with a security risk assessment. A qualified technician walks each site, maps the risks and existing equipment, and we design one system with the integrations between its parts. Book one online or call 0861 002 288.
Our in-house 24/7 control room can receive alarms from your CCTV, access control and perimeter systems with live video, verify them and coordinate the response. Monitoring is optional and can be added to an existing system.
